I can’t install intel HAXM –

Development issue/problem:

I installed Android Studio and had no problem with it. But when I tried to run the emulator, he said Intel HAXM wasn’t installed.

So I found the installer, ran it, and although it said my laptop supported it, it wasn’t activated. I was going to turn on Intel Virtualization Technology (VT-x), but I still got the same message.

I’ve heard that something from Hyper-V needs to be turned off, but when I go to the Enable/disable Windows functions section, I don’t find it in this list.

Can somebody help me?

How can this problem be solved?

Decision No 1:

Well, I did everything I could find on the Internet, and nothing worked.

So I went to the Intel website and downloaded the HAXM installer presented there (instead of the one downloaded via Android Studio).

In fact, the installation was a success. Then I open Android Studio, and the emulator is finally downloaded!

If you have this problem, you can download the installation program directly from the Intel Web site.

Here’s the link:

https://software.intel.com/en-us/android/articles/intel-hardware-accelerated-execution-manager

Decision No 2:

I think your problem is that you thought the Android SDK manager installer was actually going to install Intel HAXM. But the thing is, he can’t shoot him. It extracts the files needed for the (actual) installation of Intel HAXM.

I found out when I had the same problem, then I read about it on the Intel website:

Download via Android* SDK Manager
… Further steps…
5) The SDK Manager loads the installation program into the additional folder under the main directory of the SDK. Even if the SDK manager says Installed, it actually means that the Intel HAXM executable file has been downloaded. You must always run the installer from the Advanced folder to install it.
6) Run the installation program in /sdk/extras/intel/Hardware_Accelerated_Execution_Manager/ and follow the installation instructions for your platform.

So I just had to go to the folder where my Android SDK is, open it (sdk_location/sdk/extras/intel/Hardware_Accelerated_Execution_Manager) and launch silent_install.bat.

When I ran my emulator, he said:

HAXM works and the emulator operates in a fast viral mode.

and everything works the way it’s supposed to!

You can also use some useful parameters with silent_install.bat

  • -v HAXM print version
  • -c Check the capabilities of the VT/NX platform.
  • -h Use of pressure

Decision No 3:

Make sure the emulator is not rotating during HAXM installation. Otherwise an error will occur, which you will only see if you use a stand-alone installer and not in Android Studio or IntelliJ Idea.

Decision No 4:

dism.exe /Online /Disable-Feature: Microsoft-Hyper-V

or

bcdedit /set hypervisor type disabled

Other things you might need:

  • When do you use Avast? Disable support for hardware virtualization : Settings > Troubleshooting
  • bcdedit /set nx AlwaysOn
  • sfc /scan and restart

It’s important: After all attempts to reboot your PC, try the HAXM installation again.

Decision No 5:

I’ve been confronted with this problem. I have a solution, too. It’s gonna work.

Step one: Go to the BIOS settings and check whether INTERNET VIRTUAL TECHNOLOGY is on or off.

And make sure Hyper B is off.
To disable:
a) Go to Control Panel
b) Click Programs (Uninstall Programs)
c) Then click Enable or Disable Windows Properties, locate HYPER-V and uncheck. And restart.
When it’s off, turn it on.

Step two: Try installing and restarting Intel HAXM now. If she shows the same problem again.
Go to step 3.

Step three: You must deactivate the digital signature system. To permanently disable it, make sure that the secure boot function in your system is disabled.

How do I check that?

The answer can be found under the following link. I found this on the Internet. [Thanks to whoever took this blog]

link: http://www.windowspasswordsrecovery.com/win8-tips/how-to-disable-uefi-secure-boot-in-windows-8-1-8.html

Step four: Now, start again.

To permanently disable the driver signature check in Windows 10, do the following:

1 Open a command line instance.
2. Type/paste the following text:

bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks on

or Windows 10

Bcedit.exe – Setting the DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS startup parameters`.

Windows 10 disables driver signature control

Reboot Windows 10.

* If you somehow want to turn it back on…

1. Enter/enter the following text:

bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks off

Decision No 6:

It worked for me…

  1. Activate Virtualization via BIOS (F10-> System Configuration -> Virtualization Technology)
Depending on the hardware, firmware and BIOS Setup Utility, the enable option may have a different name or the steps may be different.
There is free software called Piriform Speccy that provides information about your computer that allows you to check if virtualization is enabled on your computer (see screenshot).

Make sure virtualization with Speccy is enabled

  1. Download the HAXM installation program from the Intel Web site. https://software.intel.com/en-us/android/articles/intel-hardware-accelerated-execution-manager.
  2. If you are using avast, uncheck Enable hardware support for virtualization: Settings > Troubleshooting by unchecking the check box.

Make a hard case (on/off switch) for all cases.

Decision No 7:

Option one: Go to Android SDK -> Extra -> Intel and double click on the HAXM installer and install it manually.

Option 2 : If you do not have the latest version of HAXM, you can open and download the sdk manager in your studio.

Option 3 : Download the HAXM installation program from the Intel Web site. https://software.intel.com/en-us/android/articles/intel-hardware-accelerated-execution-manager.

Decision No 8:

I probably tried all of the above, but it was all in vain.
Summarized: I did:

  • I activate the virtualization configuration in the BIOS.

Fill in the image description here

  • Disable the Hyper-V option by going to the Enable or Disable Window Functions section.

Fill in the image description here

Nothing worked.
Which worked for me:
When I tried to load the SDK platform, I saw a problem with the SDK card in the sdk tool that didn’t work. So after some research I discovered that some SDK tools like mksdcard.exe require Microsoft Visual C++ to run from 2015 to 2019. So, depending on the type of my system (for me it was x64), I downloaded the latest version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2019 from the link https://visualstudio.microsoft.com/downloads/.
The detailed answer can be found here:
We were unable to install Android Studio – we were unable to launch the mksdcard sdk tool on Windows.

After downloading and installing Visual C++, an error was fixed causing the mksdcard sdk tool to fail, although I tried to install HAXM successfully afterwards. Everything was fine. I was now also able to make DSA’s (which was also a problem if HAXM wasn’t installed).

Decision No 9:

How I solved this problem:

Step one: Android Studio downloaded and installed. But he couldn’t install HAXM.

Step two: That’s when she started DSA. You will then be asked to create a virtual device. But he also failed.

Step three: I downloaded the latest version of HAXM from the GitHub information source. From here github.com/intel/haxm/releases/relatest

Step four: Then install the HAXM manually. The documentation is here: Offline installation of Intel HAXM under Windows

Step five: Then we tried to make a virtual cake machine again. He created it successfully.

But if your step five still fails, there may be another solution: When the .zip file is loaded, the path to the SDK and the path to the source of the .zip file are displayed. This way you can manually load the .zip file and place it in the SDK folder. Then you can try to create a virtual device again.

Decision No 10:

For HP Ultra, the book worked on the Intel Huxm problem with 7 windows running Hyper-V through the bios.

To activate the hyper-v:-

F10-> Advanced Bios Settings -> Device Settings -> Enable Hyper-V and then install.

It’s gonna work.

Good luck!
