Read the review of the Lenovo IdeaPad L340 gaming notebook and find out how much it costs. The Lenovo IdeaPad L340 is certainly one of the most powerful gaming notebooks, if not the most powerful, for serious and professional gamers.
It gives you the power and performance you need to play games at only moderate settings.
You can also use it for other activities, for example. You can use it for tasks like video editing, but not for tasks that require advanced software.
Overall, for this price point, it’s a pretty good device for gamers, professional content developers, students and engineers, and of course any other average user.
The slim and elegant design includes a full-size keyboard with external backlight, an i7 processor with enough performance for gaming, a GTX 1650 graphics chip that enhances gaming performance with Turing’s architecture, and SSD storage for fast tasks.
This rugged laptop puts you in control and lets you control different modes while you work or play.
You can use the silent mode to save battery power while working on it. If you want to experience the games more intensely and need better performance, you can easily and quickly switch to the fast mode.
However, it will neither increase nor decrease your productivity, as that is entirely in your hands and depends on your skills.
Your privacy is also well protected when you use this laptop. You can prevent others from interfering with your work or play with this camera by turning it off with the physical shutter button.
You can work or play for hours on this device without worrying about eye strain or damage to your optic nerves.
You can rest assured that the Lenovo Vantage eye care system eliminates the risk of eye strain.
This reduces the blue light emission of the screen and adjusts the colour tone of the screen to prevent eye damage.
So it is a reliable laptop not only in terms of performance, but also in terms of eye health and privacy.

Pronunciation
The Lenovo IdeaPad L340 is certainly a good gaming notebook, but it’s certainly not a great choice. Not only is it mid-range in terms of performance and power, but it also has 8GB of RAM, while 16GB would make it future-proof. It’s just a decent gaming laptop with a good processor and a good graphics card, and the 512 SSD just helps you get into the game faster.
Design and construction
The design and construction of this laptop is quite good, which not only gives it a simple but elegant look, but also keeps its size and weight within acceptable limits, unlike most gaming laptops today.
Although it weighs just over a kilo, it is quite portable. Discover the best laptops for mechanical engineering students.
This laptop doesn’t look like a spaceship like most modern gaming laptops.
You may be a little afraid of the design, which is mostly plastic, and think it will be unremarkable and unattractive, but it’s quite the opposite.
You’ll love the backlit keyboard, which looks cool in blue and lets you type better, faster and more accurately, even in dimly lit rooms.
The keyboard is a full-size keyboard with a separate 10-key numeric keypad for faster data entry. The keys have good spacing so your thumbs can type quickly.
With reasonably good keystrokes, good touch and tactile feedback, you will love typing on this keyboard.
The best part of the keyboard design is that it offers a choice of two levels of these backlights, and even gives you the option to turn them off completely if you don’t need them during the day or to conserve battery power.
Note, however, that the switch is located on the small keyboard, next to the Del key.
If you are not careful, you may crash the system if you try to delete all or part of the text.
The device’s trackpad is nice and wide. It is touch-sensitive and allows for easy navigation through applications, text and images.
The Full HD screen on this machine meets the minimum requirements for a gaming laptop these days.
However, it’s much larger than the standard 15.6-inch screen, and while it’s not an edge-to-edge screen, the realism of this one is quite high thanks to the thinner bezel on both sides.
With a 1920 x 1080 pixel image resolution, this IPS display also offers a wider viewing angle, so the characters in the game can be seen clearly from all sides and angles.
The color accuracy is also much better compared to a traditional LED display, although the refresh rate is only 60 Hz, which is just basic where a 144 Hz refresh rate would be much better.
Power
The 9th generation Intel Core i7 9750H processor. The third generation offers extensive graphics card support and can handle most games and other computing tasks extremely efficiently.
With its six cores and twelve cores operating at 2.6 GHz and 4.5 GHz (base and boost clock speeds), it has the power and capability to handle high-end gaming.
A bus speed of 8GT/s, 12MB intelligent cache and TDP between 35W and 45W increase performance.
The Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 graphics card, on the other hand, is a relatively new chip in the GTX series that won’t be released until April 2019, but while it’s a cheaper alternative to the GTX 1050 and 1060, it’s still pretty good in terms of performance.
While it doesn’t have exceptional graphics performance, it is still capable of playing most games in Full HD, even on the highest settings.
All thanks to CUDA cores, base acceleration and clocks, memory speed and bandwidth, and of course Turing’s architecture.
The Windows 10 Home operating system also adds to the performance of this device.
Whether you use this laptop for your daily work or for gaming, this operating system can handle it all.
Fortunately, it doesn’t come with a lot of unnecessary software that needs to be removed during the day to work more efficiently.
In fact, this popular operating system does most of the work for you, whether it’s performance or security of your system while working or both.
RAM and memory
8GB of DDR4 memory is enough for a standard laptop, but at least twice as much as is needed for a gaming setup.
However, you only need to be able to perform simple multitasking operations on this device.
Remember that you cannot put a new 8 GB key next to it. If you want to upgrade your system with 16 GB RAM, you will have to replace the entire key, since there is only one slot in this laptop.
QLC SSDs are quite fast and offer faster system boot and shorter application boot times.
The size of 512 GB is quite decent, considering that downloading games these days requires many gigabytes of data.
This type of SSD has much higher read and write speeds, both random and sequential.
Ports and connectors
The device has enough ports and slots to connect multiple devices externally.
Unfortunately, all of these ports are located on the left side of the case, which may be a problem for some users.
Inside, it starts with a DC jack for charging the system, an RJ 45 port for Ethernet LAN support, an HDMI 2.0 port for connecting a laptop with a large external display, two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type A ports, a 3.5mm stereo headphone and microphone combo jack, and a USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type C port.
On the right side of the chassis is only the port of Kensington Castle.
You can also connect Bluetooth-enabled devices.
You can also count on a strong Internet connection with support for 802.11ac Wi-Fi.
Battery life
The life of this laptop’s lithium-ion battery depends mainly on how you use it.
As this unit has different operation modes, namely Silent and Fast, the battery life also depends on the operation mode you choose.
Ideally, the average battery life for basic use of this laptop is between 6 and 7 hours, while for gaming it can be about an hour less, which is normal for most gaming laptops even if you start playing with a full battery.
Additional functions
The unit is equipped with a pretty good audio system consisting of a good set of stereo speakers that support Dolby Audio sound technology.
This technology is very advanced and produces a better sound with a higher volume and deeper bass.
This allows you to enhance your gaming and multimedia experience with better listening and viewing quality, without the echo you get with a cheaper laptop.
There is also a high quality webcam that takes very good pictures.
However, if you are afraid that someone is spying on you and you are absolutely paranoid, the camera’s shutter can be completely blocked to prevent others from observing you.
Lenovo has kept the system clean, pre-loading only a few carefully selected applications and software. They provide you with a safer, clearer and better computing experience.
It includes proprietary applications such as Vantage, App Explorer, Utility, LinkedIn and free one-month trials of McAfee LiveSafe and Microsoft Office 365.

What do Lenovo IdeaPad L340 users think?
It’s certainly not one of the high-end laptops on the market designed for gaming, but it’s certainly one of the best you can get for the price, according to many users.
The processor is quite large and fast enough for data processing, but the graphics processing seems to be in the mid-range.
Moreover, the hard drive could have been much better, not in terms of storage capacity, but in terms of type and performance, making it a very good gaming platform for little money, according to them.
The RAM of this device is only 8 GB, whereas 16 GB is preferred nowadays, especially if the laptop is meant for gaming, according to many users.
In addition, this small amount of RAM is in a single channel, so there is unfortunately no room for more RAM, which is regretted.
Other than this minor design issue, they don’t complain about anything. Please refer to the IdeaPad L340 manual.
The device has enough power and the ability to produce very good images during the game with only medium to high graphics settings.
He seems to be stumbling into high level play. Nevertheless, the system is well suited to some of the complex computational tasks it performs and is thus suitable for both students and professionals.
The other elements are good, especially the blue backlit keyboard which looks good, has a good grip and moves the keys around for a better typing experience.
Few users were very satisfied with their purchase as they found that the system worked very efficiently and smoothly with all the applications and programs they wanted.
This does not seem to weaken even with heavy and intensive use, they added. That’s a lot, especially considering the amount of power it offers for that price.
Yes, the battery life of this device is not very long, but that’s not what you would expect from a laptop with the latest hardware and a large screen designed for gaming.
However, some users noted that the lack of a DVD player and enough input/output ports were two things they didn’t like about this system, but otherwise they were quite happy with this fast and powerful machine.
It not only supports games, but also allows you to edit video and work professionally beyond basic computer tasks.
It offers excellent value for money and is an efficient machine that can handle anything thrown at it, they said.
It’s just a good type of laptop, said users who feel it’s not worth it, because it can handle games much better if, and only if, they play with moderate settings, which is not what is expected of a gaming laptop at this price.
However, they stated that the 1080p screen is good with decent speed, but warned others not to expect miracles from it, or from the system in general.
They also said that 16GB or DDR4 RAM instead of 8GB is the standard these days and it should be a modern gaming laptop!
Other expert opinions
It’s a decent gaming laptop in this price range, according to IT Pro. However, it still has a long way to go to compete with powerful gaming laptops. The CPU handles all the computational tasks and the GPU offers performance for most FHD games, but only at moderate settings.
The 512-SSD makes the system faster, but the low working memory slows down performance, as NotebookCheck notes. However, the design of this system is elegant and very attractive, and the screen is good enough to display most games.
However, Laptop Media claims that this device works as expected with its hardware. The i7 9750H has more power and the GPU consumes less. This compensates for the average capacity of its battery and is good in terms of thermal management.
