In the past, Lenovo made computers that were almost as expensive as the desktops they housed. You might have heard of one of their flagship models called the Thinkpad. Well, now Lenovo has made a desktop that is almost as good.

Lenovo’s ThinkCentre M75Q is the latest desktop from the Chinese company that focuses on business and IT needs. The M75Q is available in two flavors, the standard M75Q ($1,999) and the more powerful Performance M75Q ($2,599). The standard version comes with a 15.6-inch display with the resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and the input peripherals include a DVD/CD-RW, two USB 3.0, two USB 2.0, one USB 2.0-to-eSATA, two HDMI and a audio jack. The Performance version bumps up the CPU to a quad-core Core i5-7400T processor and the GPU to an Nvidia Quadro P1000

The ThinkCentre M75Q is one of the first new Lenovo notebooks to hit the market in a long time. The last one—the M77—was a pretty good performer, but it was a bit bulky and not very good-looking. The M75Q is a bit smaller at 17.6 inches and 15.6 pounds, and it’s much sleeker. It’s also a bit more expensive, starting at $899 for the basic version, and $1,099 for the more capable version with an i7 processor.

Acer Aspire TC-895-UA91 and Dell Optiplex 9020 are the best options.

Verdict

This Lenovo PC is one of the most inexpensive choices available in the market for doing different multitasking tasks. Its configurations are very up to date, including SSD, 16GB RAM, a powerful CPU, and so on; and some of them are somewhat upgradeable in the future. As a result, for casual users, this gadget is a fantastic value.

Design & Build

This PC wears a pretty basic clothing, as we stated previously in this post. It’s intended to be small, yet it’s nearly the size of a hardback book.

It has excellent build quality and is mostly composed of strong steel. Its design is quite similar to the ThinkCentre M series’ previous versions.

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M75Q Desktop is 7 inches by 7.2 inches by 1.4 inches.

As with the other systems in this series, this one may be installed in any corner of a busy business building.

Two USB 3.2 ports, as well as a headset connection, are located on the front side of the chassis.

One USB Gen2 Type-A port and one Type-C port are available.

On the front panel of several other 1L PCs, we can find three USB ports; however, due to its small size, we only have two on the front side.

The HDMI port, as well as other display ports, are situated on the system’s uncommon side. The additional USB ports are likewise located on the system’s uncommon side.

One may get simple access to the PC’s internal portion by just unscrewing a single screw. A 2.5-inch SATA tray is located within the chassis.

Without the need of any tools, this tray may be added or removed.

Because this product is so little, the interior portion is awkward, and upgrading it requires a skilled hand.

Performance

We all know that the components utilized in a desktop’s performance are more or less reliant on them.

Lenovo’s specific model comes with a very typical setup. It features an AMD Ryzen 5 Pro 3400GE CPU, which is quite efficient.

It’s a CPU with four cores. This CPU has an average clock speed of 3.3 GHz, which consumers may enjoy.

However, the processor may run at a clock speed of 4.0 GHz when doing CPU-intensive activities.

It also has a 2 MB cache memory, which allows it to launch commonly used applications in a fraction of a second.

This CPU is an excellent option for multitasking, and it can handle any simple to moderate-level job with ease.

This product’s graphics performance isn’t very impressive. This PC is equipped with AMD Radeon Vega 11 graphics to handle a variety of low-level graphical material.

As a result, it is not recommended that you play any games on this device. If the user intends to play a game on this device, the GPU portion must be upgraded.

It’s worth noting that this product’s GPU upgrade capability is likewise restricted.

Users may effortlessly view videos with a resolution of up to 1080 pixels with this device.

However, this machine is incapable of handling 4K material. This device comes with the Windows 10 Professional 64-bit operating system preloaded.

Storage & RAM

Lenovo’s small desktop is primarily intended to handle multitasking tasks.

In this regard, data processing speed is critical, and this speed is mostly determined by the RAM and storage capacity, as well as their kind.

We all know that utilizing a solid-state drive allows us to process data considerably quicker than using conventional hard drives.

As a result, the engineers installed a 500 GB SSD in this computer. This device has 16 GB of DDR4 RAM.

This starting RAM and storage space are more than enough to do any basic to moderate job with ease.

However, if you’re going to use this device in a highly active business environment, you should upgrade the storage capacity to 1TB.

The basic storage and RAM capacity are sufficient for smoothly processing large PDF files.

One of the most significant flaws with this PC is that customers are unable to connect more than one 1 TB storage device to it.

Ports & Connectivity

Because it is a very compactly built desktop, customers should not anticipate a large number of USB ports, as they would with other systems.

The ports that are present at the front side of the chassis are already discussed in the ‘Design & Build’ section of this article.

The ports in the uncommon part of the chassis, as well as the various connection features of this device, are discussed below.

Three USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 port, and one Ethernet (RJ-45) port are located on the chassis’s uncommon side.

One display port and one HDMI port are also included. The people who utilize this desktop on a daily basis would appreciate these ports.

Lenovo’s desktop computer has both wireless Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connection. This gadget comes with Bluetooth 5.0 pre-installed.

Intel Wireless-AC 9260 (dual band) connection is available on this PC.

As can be seen, the users of this device do not have access to a large number of USB ports, but they do have access to the most of the latest USB ports and connection capabilities.

Features Not Included

Lenovo’s compact form factor PC has an integrated speaker. It features a 1.5-watt internal speaker.

It generates high-definition audio. Users will require a 65 Watt adaptor, which is included in the box, to operate this PC properly.

This gadget has a Lenovo conventional keyboard as well as a Lenovo calliope mouse. They are both black in hue.

This system comes with a one-year conditional guarantee from the manufacturer.

This PC utilizes cooling fans to keep the internal temperature of the chassis under control.

As a result, we may anticipate heating problems with this system while doing any high-end activities, as well as some annoying sounds from the fans.

There is no DVD drive on this Lenovo PC at first.
