The company opted for its own operating system after trying out Google Waer OS (and then Android Wear) and LiteOS on its smartwatches. The new handhelds have a sleek design and look great. They offer the same features as their predecessor, with some additions like a revamped home screen and more. The first is a grid of watchOS-like apps instead of a list. You also get support for video calling via Huawei’s MeeTime service. The HUAWEI Watch 3 features a 1.43-inch round OLED display with a 60 Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 1,000 nits. It offers an edge-to-edge screen without a rotating bezel. You have to turn the crown to make it work, just like on the Apple Watch. So HarmonyOS seems to have a lot in common with LiteOS in terms of power consumption. The Apple Watch barely lasts two days, as does the Wear OS smartwatch. Activity logging features are similar to previous models and include heart rate monitoring, Sp02 sensor and sleep tracking. In addition, the latest wearable device has a temperature sensor that can continuously measure your skin temperature throughout the day. The watch supports 100 different training modes, including running, climbing, cycling, swimming and more. Thanks to eSIM support, you can operate the Watch 3 independently from your phone with its own 4G LTE connection. The HUAWEI Watch 3 comes in several styles, including an active model with a rubber band, a classic leather model, and a premium version with a metal band. HUAWEI has also announced the Watch 3 Pro, which reportedly offers up to 5 days of battery life with 4G enabled and a long battery life of up to 21 days. You can also get a high quality titanium version. The company says it is working with developers to get their apps on HUAWEI devices with the new HarmonyOS. The price and release details of the HUAWEI Watch 3 and Watch 3 Pro are not yet known.
