You’re no longer a little kid, but you still love chasing Pokémon. And you’re always up for an exciting adventure—after all, you can’t spend all your time glued to your computer or staring at your phone. We’ve got some exciting news for you: a Pokémon-themed city has appeared in Korea! Make a good bet in a national casino, lift your spirits, rekindle your zest for life, and check out our story about Korea.

Pokémon are like pets, but with superpowers and no litter box! Imagine heading to work and your Pikachu short-circuits the coffee machine. Or Snorlax is napping in the middle of the office, blocking the boss. It’s all fun and games—until Charmander sets the quarterly report on fire!

Have you ever dreamed of meeting Pikachu in real life, strolling past a Kabuto, or snapping a selfie next to a giant Lapras? Well, great news: now you can! And not just anywhere, but right in the heart of Seoul. That’s right — South Korea has officially become a hotspot for Pokémon fans. Near Seokchon Lake and the famous Lotte World amusement park in Jamsil, an entire Pokémon City has opened — a true paradise for anyone who’s loved these adorable and charismatic creatures since childhood (or even more recently).

Not Just a Park — A Whole City!

So, what is this place exactly? Imagine a space completely dedicated to Pokémon. Not just a couple of statues and a toy shop — no! This is a full-on immersive experience: massive Pokémon figures, balloons, rides, photo zones, shops, cafés, and most importantly, an atmosphere that instantly transports you into a world where trainers catch pocket monsters, battle, and collect them all.

Right at the entrance, you’re welcomed by 100 Kabuto figures — one of the first and most iconic Pokémon. These cute little stone creatures line the walkways, almost like they’re inviting you into an adventure. And that’s not all. Floating above Seokchon Lake are two enormous 16-meter balloons — one shaped like Pikachu, the other like Lapras, the sea Pokémon that, according to legend, can carry you across oceans.

Everything a Fan Could Want — From Merch to Food

What’s especially exciting is that you don’t just walk around and take pictures — you can shop and eat, too! The city features the world’s first pop-up store selling exclusive Korean Pokémon merchandise. You won’t find these items anywhere else — only here and only now. They’ve got everything: clothes, accessories, adorable dishware, notebooks, and even home goods.

And when you get hungry — head to the Pokémon-themed café! You’ll find omurice shaped like a Poké Ball, Eevee-shaped desserts, drinks featuring Jigglypuff, and more. It’s all not just tasty but super Instagrammable — the perfect excuse for some stories or a new post.

Games, Cards, and That Signature Pokémon Vibe

For gamers, there are special zones just for you. Designated areas let you play Pokémon GO, catch rare Pokémon, trade with other trainers, and even participate in live events. It’s like a real-life adventure brought to life.

Fans of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) will love the dedicated areas where you can sit down, open your decks, battle fellow visitors, and even purchase rare cards. It’s the perfect spot to meet other fans, trade, and learn new strategies.

Photo Zones and Pure Fun

Of course, no experience like this would be complete without photo booths and themed photo zones — and there are tons! Want a pic with a giant Charmander? You got it! Ever dreamed of walking through a forest full of Pikachu? No problem! Bright, detailed photo zones are set up all over the city, letting you feel like you’re in the anime or games.

There are also plenty of fun rides and attractions for both kids and adults. Some are themed after specific Pokémon, while others are just classic amusement rides with a Pokémon twist.

Why Is This So Cool?

This city isn’t just a temporary exhibit or pop-up shop — it’s a full-on space for fun, relaxation, and connection with a culture that’s brought people together for over 25 years. The ’90s kids who grew up watching the original anime will feel a wave of nostalgia, while younger fans obsessed with mobile games and the latest seasons will finally get the chance to see their favorites in real life.

Pokémon isn’t just a cartoon or a game — it’s part of global pop culture, constantly evolving and delighting millions. And now, thanks to Seoul, you can literally step into that world — walk alongside Pikachu, snap a photo with Kabuto, battle it out in TCG, try themed dishes, and take home exclusive souvenirs.

If you’re already in Korea, be sure to add Pokémon City to your itinerary. And if you’re still planning your trip — now you’ve got one more big reason to visit Seoul. Pokémon City is open and waiting for you!

Gotta catch ’em all — not on your phone this time, but in the real world.
