TikTok not only opened the doors for people who used video content to go viral, make opportunities as they increase their following but this platform has also paved the way to new ways of speaking. A TikTok slang – used in more ways than one – in and out of the platform is the new IN. And people can’t get enough of it.
From video captions, hashtags – to actually using slangs in real-life; the spread is getting on. If you are new or just want to learn, here are some TikTok slangs that you would want to know.
Bussin.
It is so short and does not entirely unfold any meaning. One could just say “bussin” and the world continues. However, these days – bussin is used as a way to describe something which is really good, amazing, and just incredible.
For example, one would just say, “this food is bussin” and that would, “this food is really good!”. You would say it as TikTok’s way of saying that the food is beyond delicious.
Delulu.
A very cute and non-offensive short way of saying, “delusional”. Delulu comes into play for people who describe someone who has an unrealistic way of seeing things or just about fantasizing over someone they cannot have.

Delulu is fun, and as said, a non-offensive way of saying someone is delusional.
It’s Giving.
Another thing that’s really giving off specific vibes – it’s giving; like you would comment on something that is actually giving something as it should be. One would say, “I saw John the other day. It’s giving a whole new dad look.”
Sometimes it could pertain to something good. Others would use it in a negative way; for example, “it is giving main character energy and it’s not okay.”
Bet.
This is not something out of going viral on TikTok since bet has been used even before that but in the platform – it can be seen just about every content uploaded on there. Mostly used in casual talks, bet means “agreed”. You would say, “let’s meet upfront around 9am” and they would reply, “bet” – it’s like they agree. They got it. Simple as that.
Ate That.
This is commonly used when someone does something really amazing and said person just ate that.

Usually paired with performances like dance or singing, or make-up transformation; just an act that is 100% awesome.
Ick.
And finally, the ick and most commonly used when a situation or person is cringe. This can be seen in comments or video content where TikTok users share their ick over someone, pet peeves, or just bad behaviors. It became such a trend that most of the time, it is used as funny entertainment too.
End note.
TikTok being one of the most popular platforms these days is still continuing to grow; in users or in language. It is the home for trends – may it be for shopping, entertainment, and even wholesome content where people help people. TikTok has started something so good and everyone is loving it.
