“Shattered Glass” is one of the best journalism movies ever about an American former journalist Stephen Glass. The main characters of the movie are political cartoonist and crime author Robert Graysmith (Jake Gyllenhaal), reporter Paul Avery (Robert Downey Jr., and detective Dave Toschi (Mark Ruffalo) from the San Francisco Bay Area.
They manhunt a serial killer who calls himself “Zodiac”. Graysmith manages to unravel the cipher of the killer, but it does not turn out to be a single clue that would help to catch him. “Zodiac” is a complex and confusing story in which the main goal of the characters’ lives is to find the one who terrorizes the city.

This movie is based on real-life events. Thanks to journalists of the famous newspaper The Washington Post, facts played against the reputation of President Richard Nixon. As it turned out, the leader’s administration was engaged in wiretapping opponents, which finally undermined the authority of the White House. As a result of the publicity, Nixon had to resign. For excellent acting, several actors in the film were awarded four Oscars.

Columnist Porter Wren (Adrien Brody) loves scandalous stories because they best “cling” the reader’s attention. Once, a strange woman offers Porter to write about the unsolved murder of her husband, and he gladly agrees, not realizing what awaits him later.
