When you call from your phone, there are many reasons why you need to talk to more than one person. You should discuss your work with two or three of your colleagues, or you should talk to a group of friends to catch up, or you should just talk to all your family members.

If you’re wondering if you can summarise calls on your iPhone, your questions about this in the following message should make sense and help you learn how to do it on your iOS device.

Can I merge calls on my iPhone?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. To make a conference call, the iPhone can be used like any other mobile phone to make calls with two or more people. The phone application lets you combine calls on your iPhone in the same way you can make mobile calls on your iOS device.

Once you have called all participants in the meeting, you can see the names of all participants. Since you initiated the conference call in this scenario, the other participants can only see your number on their call screen.

If someone has added you to a conference call and you have added someone else to that conference call, you can see the names of those you have added and those you have added to the conference call. You can’t see the names of the people someone else called.

The Unified Calling option appears on your iPhone, depending on whether your service provider allows it or not.

How many calls can I merge on my iPhone?

You can make up to 5 mobile calls on your iPhone at the same time, as long as your provider allows conference calls and there are no restrictions.

Not all mobile phone operators accept conference calls and if your operator does not allow it, you may not be able to add another person to an ongoing call. Conference calls may be sponsored by some service providers; however, the scope of these calls may vary depending on the service provider.

Before trying to make a conference call, or if you don’t have one yourself, you should contact your mobile operator.

Merging calls on an iPhone

Whether you’re making or receiving a call, you can always merge your current call with another call on your iPhone if your operator supports it.

To merge an outgoing call with a current call on your iPhone, tap the Add Call button, marked with a + icon, and select the caller you want to add to the current call. You can call the other person’s phone number or select it from the contact list.

When you connect a second call, press the Merge Calls button to add it to the second call. How many calls can the iPhone merge

To combine up to 5 calls at the same time, repeat the above steps.

Not only can you link incoming calls to a conference call while a call is in progress, but you can also dial a new number. To do this, simply press the Hold & Approve button on the incoming call control panel.

After connecting an incoming call, press the Merge button on the screen to add that call to a conference call. To add more incoming calls to a merged call, repeat this operation.

You can touch the I icon anywhere in the upper right corner during a conference call to see the list of people you have added to the call.

You can select Exit or Private next to a participant’s name on this screen to delete that person or speak privately.

You need to press the Hang Up button at the bottom of the talk screen when you end a conversation with someone during a conference call, as if you could end the conversation during a personal session.

That’s all you need to know if you want to make a shared call with multiple users on your iPhone.
